JP Mason is an Associate Director of State and Political Affairs for the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. JP has been with the association for over eight years, serving as a federal lobbyist in Washington, DC. Now as part of State Government Affairs, JP uses his lobbying experience to assist state associations with strategy and legislative battles. Before joining the AANA, JP worked on Capitol Hill for a Congressman from Missouri. While working in the House Small Business Committee and in the Congressman’s personal office as a Senior Legislative Assistant, JP handled a variety of issues with a focus on healthcare. A Wisconsin native, JP earned his bachelor’s degree at Carroll University where he gained an interest in politics through working on campaigns.
