Neil Hinoguin Sagrado, CRNA, DNAP is a resident member of the FY2025 GRC Committee, an alumnus of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and currently practices as a CRNA at UCLA. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Neil is the son of Filipino immigrants who settled in the area, where he developed a deep connection to his heritage and community. He earned his BSN from Southwestern Adventist University in 2013 and practiced as a registered nurse for nearly a decade, gaining diverse experience from telemetry to critical care, including his role as a traveling COVID ICU nurse in California, Illinois, and Texas.
As a first-generation Filipino-American and the first in his family to attend graduate school, Neil’s path has been a journey of resilience and growth. Now an advocate for the profession, he is actively involved in organizations such as the Filipino-American Nurse Anesthesia Society (FANAS), NAPF Pride, and the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists’ (AANA) GRC Committee. His goal is to inspire kindness, mutual support, and hope within the nursing anesthesia community, reminding others that while pain and challenges are inherent to life, CRNAs have the power to bring relief and reassurance. Dedicated to spreading joy, working hard, and advocating for equity in healthcare, Neil remains humble and driven as he continues to pave the way forward in leadership and advocacy for his profession.
