The Reimbursement Policy & Strategies workshop is designed with all CRNAs in mind, including for those who do their own billing and those with limited or no reimbursement experience, and may also appeal to RRNAs who want to learn more for their future careers. The workshop delves into the basics of reimbursement and some of the hot topics applicable to CRNAs, including the basics of reimbursement, billing for services at critical access hospitals, an overview of the American Medical Association/Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) and CPT Editorial processes that drive payment and reimbursement, and the Medicare teaching rules.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the basics for filing as a teaching CRNA/nurse anesthesiologist.
  • Review a case study in maximizing reimbursement for overseeing Resident Registered Nurse Anesthetists (RRNAs).
